Do you ever feel trapped at home? Whenever this happens, I usually lose the ability to work productively and enjoy hobbies.
However, I have learned how to get rid of this feeling in 3 different ways. I hope that my insights can add value to your life in some way.
1: Work on your state of mind at home
First off, you have to realize that this is a feeling, which means it is all in your mind. It is difficult and sometimes only helps temporarily, but you can overcome this feeling without even leaving home.
I recommend doing some chores. An easy repetitive task like washing dishes can help your mind relax and release the feeling of being trapped.
If you don’t want to do chores, you can call friends or family. Talking to someone else and seeing how their life is going can take you out of your own little world.
The technique that works best for me at home is meditation. This makes sense because meditation is great for the mind, can release bad emotions, and helps you separate from the ego...which in turn makes you feel better.
Personally, if I feel like I’m trapped at home, I must leave in order to make the feeling go away for the rest of the day. If I don’t leave, it will only go away temporarily.
